Welcome to the Runnings

First time out, so I just wanted to set the table, so to speak. The writings will be on everything from the topics of the day to my takes on popular culture, mostly applied to the areas of sports and music and, of course to the passing happenings amongst myself or various crew within the expanse that is the Greater Toronto Area, and possibly beyond. Without trying to be too introspective...
However, a major preoccupation with the site with be an on-going commentary on that red-headed step-child of the Toronto sports scene and possibly worst named professional franchise ever, the Raptors. Again, the goal is to keep it light, but passion is a funny thing and even the casual sports observer can be drawn into that web of irrationality that goes along with being a fan. Word.
Anyways, to the implied imaginary readership, I'll start off with some basketball previews, some home team roster raisings, and hopefully all of this will be up before the season officially begins next week. And anything else that comes up...
